Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga & Couples' Prenatal Yoga Classes - Bookings are essential

Prenatal Yoga will support your health and well-being on many different levels throughout your pregnancy, and is an excellent way to nourish yourself and your growing baby. Yoga has been scientifically proven to decrease the duration, discomforts and complications of labour (1) and it is an ideal preparatory exercise for labour and birth because it combines the building of strength with the opportunity to relax and let go. During classes you will have time to practise useful skills for birthing such as active-birthing movements, breathing techniques, vocal toning, partner support, visualisation, massage and relaxation.

Receive expert guidance on how to connect with your body, your breath and your ability to let go. Nurture your intuitive wisdom and inner strength, No experience is necessary and women usually join around 14 weeks after having the 12 week medical check. Mums & Bub's Yoga

Postnatal Mums & Bub's Yoga provides an excellent opportunity for you to nourish yourself, connect with your new baby and to make friends with other new mums, who are sharing similar experiences to yours. All of this happens in a very relaxed and welcoming environment, where you may feed, change and settle your baby as the need arises, without any expectation for your baby to behave in any particular way. You will have the opportunity to interact with your baby but this class is focussed on YOU, giving you time to relax and also get back into shape. Classes are $18/class at The Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick.
